Real financial decisions rarely have one obviously correct answer.
A bigger house or more flexibility. Pay down the mortgage or invest. Save more for retirement or spend more while the kids are young. The math matters, but so do the reasons behind it.
FinCase works through those decisions as cases: invented people, realistic circumstances, explicit goals and real math. Every file is worked to the Method — ten steps in a set order — and every departure from it is recorded in the file.
Values first. Math backed. Trade-offs shown.
The mathComputed by a tested engine, from inputs shown in full. You can check the work.
The peopleEvery subject is invented. The lives are composites; the math run on them is real.
The judgmentThe numbers inform the decision. They do not make it.
The limitsGeneral education, not personalised advice. Take anything here to your own advisor first.

The first case file computed by the FinCase engine has not been published.
Two earlier case studies were withdrawn in August 2026. They were written before the engine existed, and rather than patch figures that were never computed, we took them down and started again.
The next file will open only after the math has been run, reviewed and the case is ready to stand on its own.
In the meantime, the Method explains how every case is worked and Standards explains what FinCase will and will not do. The full archive lives in the Casebook.
